Fitness Embassy® All Abilities Services

Hip Hop - Enable Social Classes

Participants have the opportunity to use movement with music, to exercise the body, enhance coordination and express themselves artistically.

Classes run each Saturday at 3pm. These classes run for 45 minutes and are energetic and fun! These classes encourage social interaction amongst the attendees together with skill building in both movement and social cues.

Hip Hop - 1 x 1 Private Sessions

Participants have the opportunity to have personalised and private Hip Hop sessions to further develop their coordination and dance choreography.

Annually, all of our Hip Hoppers perform at Fitness Embassy's Christmas Concert where Participants have the opportunity to showcase and celebrate the year's performances on stage.

Enable Motion

We work with Participants who may have any form of intellectual or physical disability to tailor exercise therapy sessions that encompass flexibility, coordination, balance and fitness whilst using mainstream equipment and exercise to also aid the participant’s social participation. Looking at functional issues also are our specialty, weakened core, postural issues, lower/upper limb weakness and of course weight loss.

We deliver two (2) levels within the Enable Motion Program:

Level One

Fitness Embassy® is proud to deliver our Level One FE Experience of the Enable Motion Program. This Participant-focused exercise therapy program is designed for young people living with additional needs with three (3) key goals:

1. Exercise literacy and numeracy,
2. Posture alignment, and
3. Improving Activities of Daily Living.

We believe through movement in a safe and welcoming environment we can empower clients - Movement is a Medium towards Happiness®.

Our assigned Fitness Partner designs the exercise therapy program, progression and the regression of the sessions. Allied Health are not required to be involved unless directly requested by the Participant/Carer or if the Fitness Partner identifies an issue.

Level Two

Rehabilitative Care with Fitness Embassy's Allied Health team to design and support Fitness Partners in the delivery of the Participant's exercise therapy sessions.

Fitness Embassy's Level Two FE Experience of the Enable Motion Program is rehabilitation and injury-prevention focused with three (3) key goals:

1. Falls prevention,
2. Education and understanding of "body in space",
3. Improving self-confidence walking, sit-to-stand, and Activities of Daily Living, ADLs.

Allied Health remain involved and further assess Participants to ensure effective delivery of the Enable Motion Program.

Through all supervised therapy sessions, our Fitness Partners and Participants integrate exercise literacy and the fundamentals of movement.  This model is our way to improve a Participant's fitness and health-related outcomes later in life.

Access & Eligibility

Eligibility

Fitness Embassy® is proud to say that our All Abilities programs are able to be accessed by any person living with a disability, whether that be a physical or an intellectual disability.

At Fitness Embassy® there are no age restrictions, no physical or mental restrictions (provided they pose no harm to themselves or others) or discrimination against any race or religion.

Fitness Embassy® conducts Pre-Exercise screening with all participants prior to taking part in any of our services (Enable Social, Enable Motion or Exercise Physiology). This exercise screening will highlight if there are any risks to the participant should they take part in any session. This will be discussed with the participant and/or their carer to determine whether they should take part. A Fitness Embassy Partner is the professional to discuss such details with the participant.
